Alb Trophy Mobs Most mobs spawn randomly at a range of levels. For each mob, only the base level is shown. This list is current as of version 1.83. Please send corrections and additions to robbie @ daoc-trophy-mobs.com. Golden Pickaxe (Alb) Level: NA Type: unique Alb Catacombs Abandoned Mines: 24.5k, 22.0k This trophy is a quest reward. It does not drop from a mob. For more info and screenshots, click here. Potion: not applicable. Throatripper Level: 5 Type: wolf Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Black Mts. South: 7k, 52k Throatripper is the lowest trophy mob in Albion. He spawns every night, so he's easy to get. This website used to tell people that if you don't see him, you should trigger his spawn by killing large black wolves in his vicinity. Unfortunately, Mythic raised the levels of those mobs in spring of 2005 but left Throatripper unchanged, so this can be difficult. Directions: From the north gate of Camelot Castle, go left to Vetusta Abbey and then head northwest toward the west zone wall. Throatripper is located in the valley with the dwarf raiders. Optional: The Ripper quest, given by Lieutenant Jursen at the nearby guard tower (location 6, 60), requires you to kill Throatripper. Potion: minor mammalogy. Sgt. Cosworth Level: 10 Type: skeleton Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Black Mts. North: 11k, 39k Sgt. Cosworth spawns continuously in a graveyard due west of Snowdonia Station. The graveyard is on a hill behind a screen of trees. Cosworth's buddy, Sir Gerenth, spawns near him in the same graveyard. Both these skeletons panic easily and call for help when they get down to two-thirds health. After they die, they become nice large floor trophies. Directions: walk straight west from Snowdonia Station. Potion: minor carnivorous. Sir Gerenth Level: 10 Type: skeleton Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Black Mts. Martley Level: 11 Type: drakoran Alb SI Isle of Glass: 5k, 28.6k Martley turns into a small wall-mount trophy with tusks, horns, and a dragonish face. He was moved temporarily to a new location in early 2006 but he's now back in his original spot inside a tent on the beach. Directions: From Gothwaite Harbor, walk west along the shore as far as you can; then go north along the beach until you reach a tent that stands by itself. The tent has a campfire in front of it on the north side. (Prior to version 1.79, Martley spawned only if you were doing the level-11 epic quest for certain classes. That epic quest can no longer be obtained. Now, all classes can kill Martley without getting a quest.) Potion: lesser herpetology. Cronker Level: 12 Type: frog Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Camelot Hills: 13k, 44k On days when Cronker spawns, he appears soon after 7:00 am game time and disappears around 2:00 pm. Directions: From the east gate of Castle Camelot, follow the river south until you reach a small half-sunken boat on the right bank. Cronker spawns on the boat. The boat is near the housing zone entrance. Jari Level: 12 Type: boar Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Black Mts. South: see text Jari is a rare mob. He can pop in either of two places: the pig herd near Vetusta Abbey (location 18k, 57k), or the valley west of there near the dwarf bandits (7k, 51k). When he's alive in one place he probably can't appear in the other, so be sure to search both. When you search the valley, explore a wide area. Directions: From the north gate of Camelot Castle, go west to Vetusta Abbey. To reach the valley, head northwest from there toward the west zone wall. Potion: minor mammalogy. Veviel Level: 13 Type: single pixie Alb Old Lands Salisbury Plains: 48k, 42k Veviel turns into a trophy board with a single green pixie on it. She's located in a grove of trees in southeastern Salisbury Plains. The other grove nymphs in her camp are neutral but be careful because they will aggro you when you attack her, and they are much higher in level (18 - 20) than she is. Just before she dies she calls for help. After Veviel dies, she usually respawns within a minute or two. (It used to be possible to pull Veviel away from her camp without drawing the other grove nymphs with her. This made the encounter interesting and doable by solo toons, but unfortunately you can no longer do this. Her calls for help are part of the original design of the encounter; they are now pointless because her guards are always with her.) Potion: lesser avian. Kalnraw Level: 16 Type: lion Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Cornwall: 53k, 19k Kalnraw spawns about halfway between Cornwall Station and the Ghostly Church to the northwest. You can make him pop by killing bears, wolves, and frogs. He's the only lion in his area; he spawns far to the east of the forest cats. Kalnraw's level hasn't changed since the early days of the game even though Mythic raised the levels of other mobs in his area to 30 and higher in spring 2005. This means that Kalnraw is gray to any toon that can clear his area and force his spawn. As a result, you'll need at least two toons of different levels to obtain his remains. Directions: From Cornwall Station, walk a short distance northwest. Potion: lesser mammalogy. Tuka Level: 18 Type: cockatrice Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Salisbury Plains: 45k, 9k Tuka runs along the ridge on the south side of the road near West Downs. He goes as far west as 40, 11 and as far east as 51, 7. The best place to look for him is the center of his path at 45, 9. He respawns quickly. Directions: From West Downs, cross the road and climb up on the ridge overlooking the road. Turn left and walk along the road (toward the east). When you get to the place where the road turns sharply left (north), stop and wait for Tuka to appear. Potion: lesser avian. Oldest Level: 22 Type: cockatrice Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Salisbury Plains: see text Oldest is the largest cockatrice trophy in the game. He looks like a ferocious chicken with a tapered, scaly tail. Oldest is found in southeast Salisbury Plains. It is impossible to give an exact location for him because the server puts his roam area in a different place each time he spawns. This is true of many trophy mobs, but the variation is unusually pronounced with Oldest. In order to be sure of seeing him, you must examine an enormous circular area which is approximately 20,000 units in diameter. The center of this area is at 45, 47. Water Spider Gleek Level: 26 Type: spider Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Salisbury Plains: 53k, 57k Water Spider Gleek spawns during the day (but not every day) and vanishes at night. He's found on the stones that form a bridge across the river to StoneRing in the southeast corner of the zone. As he moves around, he frequently disappears inside a rock or under water. Potion: major carnivorous. Croaker Jigdorn Level: 29 Type: frog Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Salisbury Plains: 57k, 57k Croaker Jigdorn is a rare daytime spawn in StoneRing at the southeast corner of Salisbury Plains. Try clearing the faerie frogs to make him pop. Directions: From West Downs, walk southeast to the corner of the zone. Potion: major herpetology. Rangfar Level: 29 Type: wolf Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Avalon Marsh: 25k, 29k Rangfar spawns near Caer Witrin in Avalon Marsh at the eastern edge of a huge field covered with giant wolves. See this map for details. To make Rangfar pop, slaughter non-named wolves in his spawn area. Sometimes this takes hours. Directions: From Caer Witrin, follow the road northeast to the bridge. Just before you reach the bridge, look to your left (to the northwest). The center of Rangfar's roam area is location 24.8, 28.7. Potion: lesser mammalogy. Rainbow spritelings Level: 30 Type: 4-on-a-board pixie Alb Frontier Forest Sauvage: 2k, 37k Rainbow spritelings drop "white" sprite remains. (White sprites are actually light blue.) Rainbow Sprites Level: 32 Type: 4-on-a-board pixie Alb Frontier none Mythic removed rainbow sprites from the Alb frontier when New Frontiers went live in version 1.70. Gerkran Level: 33 Type: spider Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Cornwall: 33k, 21k Gerkran spawns in the southwest part of the field of cliff spiders which is west of Cornwall Station. The spiders cast poison, and some are linked in pairs. Potion: lesser carnivorous. Worry Wort Level: 33 Type: frog Compare sizes Alb Frontier Snowdonia: 29k, 33.5k Worry Wort spawns in a camp of faerie frogs in a field of grass on the east side of a river. Be careful of the ellyl camp to the south. (Prior to version 1.70, Worry Wort was found at 42, 42 in Snowdonia.) Potion: major herpetology. Forest ettin seekers Level: 34 Type: 4-on-a-board pixie Alb Frontier Forest Sauvage: 8k, 40k As of version 1.81b, these mobs no longer drop remains. Forest ettin seekers drop blue sprite remains. These remains can be mixed with remains from rainbow sprites. Forest ettin seekers range in level from 34 to 37. Potion: major avian. Fire Ant Frendrat Level: 35 Type: ant Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Cornwall: 1k, 29k Fire Ant Frendrat is the only mob we know of that wanders back and forth between two zones. You'll find him at the north end of the border between Cornwall and Lyonesse near the ocean. He seems to regard the Cornwall side as his home, but he often runs into Lyonesse to fight with hamadryads. He's the only ant in this area; he's not part of a camp. We've seen him as far east as 1, 29 in Cornwall and as far west as 61.5, 29.6 in Lyonesse. He cons green to 50s. You don't have to kill anything to make him pop, so the easiest way to find him is by parking a toon in his area and logging in occasionally to see whether he has spawned. Directions: From the Western Cornwall stable (Yarley's) follow the road northwest to the Lyonesse border; then walk straight north to the ocean. If you haven't passed Frendrat, walk west a little way into Lyonesse (to about 62,000 on the east-west axis) and then south to the road through the hamadryads, making a loop. Potion: greater carnivorous. Grunge Level: 36 Type: boar Compare sizes Alb Frontier Snowdonia: 26k, 57k Grunge turns into a very big trophy. He's found at 26, 57 in Snowdonia. No other mobs spawn near him. Directions: From Castle Snowdonia, walk west. Just before you reach Castle Myrddin, you'll pass a small grove of trees. Look there for Grunge. (Prior to version 1.70, Grunge was found at 20, 41 in Snowdonia.) Potion: major mammalogy. Tusker Level: 38 Type: boar Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Cornwall 19k, 51k Tusker spawns in the Yarley family's pig pen. Directions: From Avalon Marsh, take a horse to Western Cornwall. The horse drops you at the Yarley farm. Tusker is inside the fenced area. Potion: major mammalogy. Sladug Level: 39 Type: lizard Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Lyonesse: 48k, 28k Sladug spawns near the hamadryads close to the Danoian clerks' house. Try killing the giant lizards there to make him pop. Potion: major herpetology . Albino Grugner Level: 41 Type: lizard Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Stonehenge Barrows: 23.3k, 19.3k Albino Grugner spawns in the scaled fiend room of Stonehenge Barrows dungeon in Salisbury Plains. Try killing scaled fiends to make him pop. Potion: greater herpetology . High Priestess Ywera Level: 47 Type: skeleton Compare sizes Alb Old Lands Stonehenge Barrows: 26.3k, 17.1k High Priestess Ywera is found in Stonehenge Barrows in Salisbury Plains. She spawns next to the stone altar in the northeast room filled with skeletal druids, petrified grovewoods, and sacrificial souls. To make Ywera pop, kill the skeletal high priestess repeatedly. Each time the priestess respawns there is a small chance that Ywera will appear in her place. You may have to kill for hours before Ywera spawns. Potion: greater carnivorous. Windchaser Naihera Level: 47 Type: single pixie Alb Old Lands Llyn Barfog: 15k, 47k Windchaser Naihera turns into a square trophy board with a single "white" pixie on it. (White pixies are actually light blue.) She spawns in a camp of ellyls in Llyn Barfog. To make her spawn, kill other mobs in her camp. This can take hours. Directions: From Snowdonia Station, take horse to Llyn Barfog. Walk south to road. Walk west on road to lake. Follow shore clockwise until you reach southwest side of lake. Ellyl camp is in grove of trees on hill overlooking lake. Potion: greater avian. Grubthor Level: 56? Type: gargoyle Alb Catacombs Lower Crypt (see text) Golnar is a gargoyle who flies around Lower Crypt. You can wait for him to pass at the obelisk. He cons red to 50.
